The Spectaculaire is a 891 +/- mile single stage, self-supported competitive bike ride in SW and Central Montana. Included is 377 miles of gravel in 16 segments. It starts on August 22, 2022 in Bozeman and finishes when the last rider is home safe, in Bozeman. There is a pre-ride bike inspection and meeting, with a meal provided by the event organizers, on August 21. There is 38+K of vertical as the route winds up and down numerous river drainages on both sides of the Continental Divide; the CD is crossed 2X. Crush it or ride at a pace within your comfort zone, you can make this event as challenging and competitive as you wish. The Spectaculaire would be a good precursor for anyone who has aspirations of doing the TransAm or Tour Divide, to sort out equipment and get the feel of a multi-day event. There are almost 30 hours of time bonuses to be earned. Start the registration process to receive information such as a gravel table, many of the services along the route and the time bonuses available. Pairs and tandems are welcome.
