The 2nd annual Buena Vista County Fair "Barnyard to Blue Ribbon Bike Ride" is planned for July 11, 2020. Registration is from 10 to 11 a.m. with the noncompetitive ride to leave the BV Cnty Fairgrounds in Alta, IA at 11 a.m. Cost is $20 per rider (includes $5 fair gate admission), a tank top shirt and a koozie. Participants may register the day of the ride. Pre-registration is also available. Last year's 2019 Inaugural Ride also served as a dedication for the extensive Buena Vista County bicycle trail, which is quite visibly marked with signage. The ride will be from Alta, IA to Storm Lake, IA and return, with several fun stops along the route there and back.
