Party Ride

Distance - 6-8 miles

This week we'll be meeting at the Ding Darling Shelter in Birdland Park at 6pm.

Did you know the Des Moines Bike Collective is a partner with Habitat for Humanity? Whenever a family moves into a new home, the collective generous donates bicycles to the family. This Monday, we'll ride through Union Park, Capitol Park, and Birdland neighborhood, passing by more than 35 houses built by the greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity over the past several years.

We'll end on Watson Ave, where Habitat has just finished completing 10 new homes. Join us as we present one of the new homeowners with their new bicycles from the Bike Collective!

As usual, this will be a slow paced, casual ride, totally about 9 miles. Free and open to all!
