"Ichi" means “No. 1” in Japanese, which is why Dan Koenig named his bicycle "Ichi Bike". The shop was opened May 8 2010 by Koenig and his wife, Amy. Ichi has vintage bikes, some that Dan Koenig has repaired or restored. He grew up in Beaverdale during the 1970s, a time when he and his friends “did cool things to their bikes. We’d rework and give new life to them.”
