The BIKEIOWA Cycling Team is hosting Relaycross again at Mullets on Sunday, Sept 16th.Relaycross is a team event on a mini-cyclocross course around the green space at Mullets.

Last year over $2,700 was raised for the Urban Bicycle Food Ministry, and we had a BLAST doing it! 27 teams of 4 participated and another 75+ specated!

How does Relaycross work?

It's simple - race/ride for 2 hours 4 teammates tagging in and out to ride as many laps as possible before time runs out. The team with the most laps wins. FUN!

So, get a team of 4, grab your donations and show up on Sunday! more details in the event link above.

What does it cost?

This year the event will benefit the Urban Bicycle Food Ministry, a grass-roots non-profit organization that feeds the homeless in Des Moines. This is the same non-profit that we benefited last year.
Each team of 4 needs to bring $100 in product from the list below for direct donation to the Food Ministry.
In lieu of physical donations, cash will be accepted too.
  • Chemical Hand warmers
  • Blankets
  • Sleeping bags
  • Socks
  • Coats
  • Gloves
  • Winter hats
  • Scarves
  • Thermal under clothing
  • Uncondensed soup in cans (with pull tabs i.e. Progresso)
  • Boots
  • Batteries
  • Candles
  • Spaghetti-Os (in pull tab cans)

THANKS to Mullets for hosting this event again !!
