Police say Charles Peal, 60, of Bertram died after falling off his bike Friday night in Bertram.
At the time of the fall, Peal was riding down a steep hill without a helmet in the 400 block of South Ely Street in Bertram shortly before 9 p.m. Friday when he lost control of the bicycle and fell off.
Peal was taken to Mercy Hospital where he later died.
No other cars or people were involved in the accident.
