A Louisiana man has been convicted of charges associated with an incident during RAGBRAI's overnight stay in Shenandoah nearly two years ago.

According to the Des Moines Register, a Fremont County jury Monday found 56-year-old Danny Cardin of Homer guilty of causing serious injury by a vehicle, and not guilty of leaving the scene of a serious injury accident. Cardin was charged in connection with an incident outside the 59er Motel in July, 2016. Lieutenant Mike Miller of the Iowa State Patrol described the incident to KMA News the day after the accident.
