RAGBRAI® Volunteer Meetings Scheduled for July 24 & 25

OTTUMWA-The Ottumwa RAGBRAI® Volunteer Committee will be holding mandatory volunteer meetings for those interested in helping when RAGBRAI® makes an overnight stop in Ottumwa on Thursday, July 28.

Volunteers that are not working in the Beverage Garden have a choice of attending a session on either Sunday, July 24 at 5:00 p.m. or Monday, July 25 at 5:00 p.m. The meetings will be held at Bridge View Center and should last 30-45 minutes. Volunteers will learn committee assignments and schedules. The meetings will cover any general orientation information followed by breakout sessions for volunteers to meet with their respective committees for further instruction.

Volunteers that will be working in the Beverage Garden must attend one volunteer training session on either Friday, July 22 at 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., or 5:00 p.m., or Monday, July 25 at 6:00 p.m. These sessions will be held at the Bridge View Center and will last approximately 60-90 minutes.

All volunteers are asked to please bring a form of identification such as a driver’s license to the meeting. All volunteers will be required to sign a waiver of liability and will receive a personalized badge and lanyard that they must wear during RAGBRAI.

Volunteers that had previously signed up and provided an email address will receive an email outlining the meeting details.
