Bike safety Rodeo planed in Ankeny

the Ankeny Police Department, along with the Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association, will sponsor a bicycle safety rodeo at Terrace Elementary parking lot at 310 N.W. School St. from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday August 14th.
The "rodeo" consists of eight different stations where children (ages kindergarten through sixth grade) demonstrate their abilities to perform safe bicycling skills.
The Lake County Cyclists will assure that the bikes are
in good working order. and assist in instructing the proper fit and wearing of the bicycle helmet.
There will be a bicycle registration table where you may license your bike as well as a fingerprint table for parents desiring to have their children printed.
There will be door prizes for participants. You need not be present to win.
