Honoring fallen bicyclists

As we celebrate national Bike Month, cyclists in Des Moines took a moment to listen to the silence. The "Ride of Silence" is an annual event to remember bicyclists killed on Iowa's roads.

This year, there was big turnout for popular cyclist Wade Franck, who was hit and killed by a drunk driver last summer. After a small ceremony, bikers rode through the streets of Downtown Des Moines.

This is the 12thyear this group has hosted the ride.
