plastic bag recycling program being led by Iowa grocers announced on
Earth Day, April 22, that Algona is one of 13 recipients of a Build with
Bags grant award in 2014. It will receive $2,000 to purchase three new
park benches and two new trash receptacles to place along the new trail
on the east side of Algona.

from recycled plastic bags by Plastic Recycling of Iowa. Each bench
represents approximately 10,600 bags.
