An adventure race, sponsored by Luther College’s Mu Theta chapter of the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21. The race begins in the Regents Center Circle Drive on the Luther campus.

The adventure race consists of a three-mile canoeing/kayak leg, a nine mile bike ride and a three-mile run through the scenic city of Decorah. This race can be performed individually or divided between participants as a relay or a group.

The fee for individuals is $10, $5 for those who supply their own canoe/kayak. Relay teams should have one individual fill out the form. T-shirts may also be purchased for $5. Bikes and helmets are mandatory and need to be provided by each participant. Entries for the adventure race will be taken until Sept. 13.

Alpha Phi Omega is a social organization that Luther students may choose to participate in. Of the five social organizations on campus, three are women's sororities and one is a men's fraternity. Alpha Phi Omega is the only on-campus co-ed service society.
