Pat Dorrian Trail and MLK Jr. Trail Closures Dec. 3rd-7th

Polk County will be using the Martin Luther King Jr. Trail and the John Pat Dorrian Trail to access the Des Moines River to clean up a small area of a sandbar.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Trail will be closed from Water Street to East 4th Street and the Dorrian Trail will be closed from north of Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway to Scott Avenue along the east side of the Des Moines River.

A detour will be posted for trail users.

Work is expected to begin on Monday, December 3rd and conclude on Friday, December 7
