A man charged with leaving the scene of a fatality accident in Warren County has been released from jail. Paul 'Jud' McKinney, 79, will be arraigned in Warren County District Court at 1:30 p.m., on October 12. The date of the next court appearance previously had been Tuesday, Sept. 22, but that was changed to the October date, a spokeswoman with the Warren County Clerk of Court's Office confirmed this morning. McKinney is accused of being the driver of a pickup truck which hit and killed bicyclist Mark Grgurich, 54, in Warren County on Aug. 30. McKinney was arrested a week ago on charges of leaving the scene of a fatality accident, obstruction of prosecution by destruction of evidence and failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle. Police said earlier that a surveillance photograph of the truck McKinney allegedly was driving at the time of the accident was helpful in identifying McKinney as a suspect in the case. Bond previously had been set at $10,000. Court records show McKinney was released last Thursday on $7,500 bond. McKinney's attorney, Terry Wright, previously had argued that the $10,000 bond was too high. McKinney's initial appearance before Judge Kevin Parker was Sept. 14.
