Looking for an adventure race in central Iowa? Looking for a goal to shoot for this summer? Here it is! Mark your calendars! General Information Date - Sunday, July 8 Fee - $50 per team member Deadline - Postmark: Wednesday, June 20 Online: Monday, June 25 Site - Ames Area (please check back at a later date) Time - 8:00 am Check-in 10:00 am Race meeting/Competition begins Competition Information Format This adventure race will involve running/walking/hiking, biking (both single track & road), canoe/kayak, map reading skills/orienteering and various mystery events that will test both the minds and bodies of all racers. More information will follow in the months to come so please check back often. Equipment Required Equipment: photo ID (1 per person), first aid kit (1 per team), bike (1 per person), bike helmet (1 per person), 50-100 oz. of water (per person), cell phone (1 per team) Additional equipment may be added in the months to come. Optional Equipment: Gloves, extra socks, running shoes/bike shoes, sun glasses, nutrition bars, gel packs, energy drinks, multi-bike tool, spare tubes, patch kit, extra water, long sleeve shirt/pants, sunscreen Rosters/Changes Teams may have a maximum of 2/4 members per team depending on division entered. Roster changes may be made at no additional charge and must be postmarked by June 29. Teams that originally register online may make roster changes online until July 3. New members and/or replacement members must complete an Individual Entry Form and the waiver must be signed. For replacement members, please indicate which player they are replacing.
