Iowa Speed Limit changes this weekend

Starting Friday, July1, the speed limit on rural interstate highways goes from 65-to-70 miles-an-hour. Fines for speeding will double too.
The Iowa State Patrol usally doubles it's force over the weekend, but with a new class of Rookies starting the ISP will be TRIPLE its force over the first week of July
Look for heavy attention to speeding in the 55 and 45 zones too!
Do NOT speed ANYWHERE in the State of Iowa for a while if ya like the cash in your pocket.
If you are cycling - BE SAFE! Cars can go faster now.
If you are cycling fast enough to get a speeding ticket... GO FOR IT!... Pay it, frame it and brag about it!
