About

Capt' Roy's is the vision of 3 partners Jack Daugherty and brothers Wade and Paul Thompson. Jack is a member of the Power Boat Club, Parks Area Foundation, marina tenant, and supporter of the Union Park Neighborhood Association. Wade brings cycling to the equation and an extensive background in music. Paul is the music guy and gives Capt' Roy's it's artistic vision. The vision and name is based on local legend Anson Roy Williams AKA: Captain Roy! Barefoot skier, beer drinker, and friend to all!

Locale

Captain Roy's is located at the Birdland Marina, 1900 Saylor Rd, Des Moines, Iowa. Less than 1.5 miles from down town Des Moines and right on the Neal Smith bicycle trail on the historic Thompson Bend of the Des Moines River near Union Park.
