May 2013 marks the 11th anniversary that BIKEIOWA.com started to promote
Bike To Work Day in Iowa. We've seen it grow from a few hundred to thousands of participants. We've had a great time promoting various
events, getting big corporations and smaller companies to participate,
awarding prizing and getting folks onto their bicycles! We loved every
minute of it!
Check out our Commuting Tips, Commuter's References Guide and Employer's Reference Guide for biking to work. Make Commuting part of your weekly routine. It's not as hard as you may think.
According to the US Census Bureau's American Community Survey, the share of Americans commuting by bike has grown by 47 percent since 2000. Many Bicycle Friendly Communities have more than doubled their bike commuter share since 2000. Read more and find stats for your area.
