Tell us about Bike Rags. How'd the name come about and why did you start the biz?

Bike Rags has been an idea I've been working on for about three years. It all came about when i started screen printing t-shirts for custom. I always had different ideas for funny cycling shirts and I always had friends tell me I should print some. Though the idea was a very part-time gig for a long time, I did however create a few designs. The name "Bike Rags" came about from a series of brainstorms and professional opinions from a range of different people. I wanted something that was simple and easily recognizable. I came up with "Bike Rags" and it stuck!

I see you offer some pretty creative designs. Where do you come up with them?

The coolest ideas come from your own personal experiences out on the road. You see some crazy stuff out there, and you gotta think outside the box. Uniqueness and pure Wit counts! The designs I have right now came from a wide range of sources. From my personal experiences, and suggestions from friends. I also have a couple artist working on some original cycling related pieces that will be released real soon.

Why Reflective?

I wanted to make everything reflective because it just makes sense. I am a firm believer of cycling advocacy and feel that my products will add to that. I did a lot of research and there is plenty of reflective apparel out there, but very little in the way of fashionable. I wanted to create clothing that was dual purpose. Safety/Fashionable.
