Wheely Fun Shop Nights at the Iowa City Bike Library are for anyone
wanting the tools to fix and maintain bikes in a women-led, well-equipped space. The free, twice-monthly sessions focus
on a specific topic led by “Roll Models,” and participants have a
chance to work on their own bikes in the Bike Library’s shop at 408 College St.
in Iowa City. Wheely Fun nights are the first and third Mondays of the month
from 7-9 pm. Upcoming topics
include: “Changing a Flat. You. Can. Do. It.” on May 5 and “Mountain, Road, Hybrid, Touring Bikes: What
does it all mean?” on May 19.
The 10-year-old Iowa City Bike Library (bikelibrary.org) is
a
volunteer-run community bike project that repairs donated bikes and checks them
out to the public. For further information, visit us online,
