Distance - 30 to 50 miles
Omaha Double Bagger 2014 - 7th year and we're already busting the route. Once again there will be plenty of trails, some surface streets, bridges to nowhere, HyVee's and dive bars. Smart money is on Milt's vs Schmidley's this year.
Same "official" start at HyVee 132nd & Dodge around 10am but Stage 0 begins an hour earlier at the Old Mill / Settle Inn and trust me you're gonna want to have a room at the host hotel.
We ride Stage 0 about 9:30 am from Old Mill up to HyVee 132nd & Dodge. Like before.
New route cuts out SW OMA in favor of NW OMA. Standing Bear Lake this time instead of Zorinsky. HyVee's we haven't been at for a few years, Keystone Trail, Big Papio Trail and back in time for last call at the Old Mill Lounge. Then a stumble across the parking lot to the Settle Inn, or ride back up to the first HyVee if you didn't hunker down at the hotel. Just hunker down.
