11th Annual Coolest Bicycle in Town Contest - Saturday May 6, 2017, 1-5pm at the Riverwalk Hub, Court Avenue at Water Street, Des Moines. Sponsored by the Des Moines Bicycle Collective and one of the kickoff events for Bike Month in
May, 2017. Free to attend - come and check out the incredible range of bicycles that show up for this event and vote
for the Peoples' Choice Award.
Registration for bicycle entries 1-3pm; awards presented at 4:00 followed by a parade of the "Coolest Bicycles". New this year $5 per bicycle entry fee to benefit the Working Bikes for New Iowans project. Come and enter one or more of your "cool" bikes in over 20 categories and help support this project that helps provide refurbished bikes with fenders, racks, bags and lights for New Iowans to use for multipurpose transportation. People's Choice trophy and awards in all categories. Bob Tyler and the Reckless Hearts playing from 1-4; outdoor beer sales, indoor food and drink sales by the Riverwalk Hub.
