Route

From bike shop, take river path to Muscatine Bridge. Follow Hwy 92 2 miles, turn right and take County Rd. A (New Boston blacktop) 19 miles to Hwy. 17. Left here and follow it 3 miles to Keithsburg Rd. 7 miles to Keithsburg. Follow River Road signs from here all the way to Hwy. 34 (approx. 22 miles). West on Hwy. 34 to Burlington. After crossing bridge, turn right (Hwy. 99) About 55 miles to bike shop from here. Follow Hwy. 99 north to County Road X-61 (River Road north). Take X-61 into Muscatine where it turns into Stewart Rd. At fire station turn left and go 4 blocks to bike shop (cross RR tracks). Total distance approx. 114 miles. 2 biggest hills are the 2 bridges over the river. Otherwise flat to slighly undulating terrain. Quite possible the flattest century you can do in eastern Iowa/western Illinois along the Mississippi River!
