Distance - one hour plus a lap

Please join me Sunday April 10th for the "official" unofficial single speed state championship benefiting the Young Woman's Resource Center.  This year things will be a little different.  In an attempt to be more politically correct and accepting of others beliefs I will be allowing geared bikes to participate.  WHAT!?  That's right, geared bikes can take the line this year but with a small catch.  At the start of the race a handicap will be drawn out of a hat for those that choose the geared life. Choose wisely.   

We'll race for an hour and when it's all over we'll have a state champion male and female.  We'll pass out their bowling trophy and drink a few beers.   If you came to the race last year you know how much fun it was.  If not don't miss your chance to get in on the action.   Don't wanna race?  No problem we could use some hecklers.  It'll be a show I promise.

Route

We'll be meeting in the Polk County river place parking lot (2309 Euclid Ave, Des Moines)  at 11:30am. We'll collect everyone's entry fee and handle registration then at 12 sharp we'll ride the short distance to the race course.  Expect a good mix of climbs and flats to keep everyone honest.  Gear accordingly.

Registration

Cost?  How about an in-kind to the Young Women's Resource Center!  They are a super organization that offers help and support in women's lives when it matters most.  We are asking that you bring a donation of at least $15 from their list of needed items.  https://ywrc.org/donate/kind-donations/  From this list, the most needed items are diapers, formula and hygiene products.  With summer around the corner new tank tops are also welcomed.  Feel free to donate more than the minimum for extra good karma.
